A day at Bookworm School
A class
Late morning
We don't just teach English. We teach in English.
When children are educated in English, they gain real knowledge and the ability to explore the English-speaking world. The language itself is the by-product we deliver at the end.
Real subjects, in English
Animals, weather, plants, maps, festivals and stories. Grammar is never a lecture; it comes back again and again inside real content.
Speaking every two minutes
Every word card is one round: Miss Bookworm models it, the child says it, and gets stars and praise right away. No time to drift off, and no fear of getting it wrong.
A class they look forward to
A secret box to guess, a brain break to move, a star of the day. A steady rhythm feels safe; small surprises make tomorrow worth waiting for.
Noon
One class, twenty minutes.
Every class follows the same order. Once children know the rhythm they relax, and all their attention goes to the English and the new ideas.
- Hello, and yesterday's hard wordMiss Bookworm greets each child by name and reviews yesterday's hardest word.
- The secret boxThree clues in English, four answers to choose from. The answer opens today's topic.
- Word cards and speakingFour new words a class: listen, spell, sing, then say a sentence and earn stars.
- Brain breakMove to instructions in English, and practise listening at the same time.
- A story or something to learnA short story with today's words, or one small fact about the world.
- Listen and chooseHear a sentence, pick the right picture, and see straight away what stuck.
- Star of the day, and goodbyeLook back at today's words, count the stars, and look forward to tomorrow.

A short test finds the right level.
Ten to fifteen minutes with Miss Bookworm, played like a game. Questions get harder after a right answer and easier after a wrong one. Children who can't read yet can still take it.
- Listen and choose a picture
- Repeat a sentence
- Answer about a picture
- Read words and a short text
